At least, this is what Tia Helms thinks.

At twenty-three, Tia assumes she has life figured out. She’s working at Twisted Ends, the best hair salon in Terryburg County, establishing new friendships and even starting a family with her high school sweetheart. To Tia, this is what adulting is about: living your life on your terms and turning all of your dreams into reality. Despite her mother and sister believing she could—and should—do better, Tia is convinced she is living the perfect life!
That is until Alfreda, the owner of Twisted Ends, reality-checks Tia in the most unprofessional way possible. When multiple people co-sign Alfreda’s insinuations, Tia starts to question her dreams. While making life make sense, Tia’s new friendship introduces a temptation that rocks her reality. Life quickly reminds Tia that there is a thin line between dreams and reality; in her case, her line is chaotic!
